enero.

my have things been grand this semester! i got back to school in the first part of january. i was pretty concerned about any lasting nastiness from my death sickness. so far there hasn't been too many problems, just occasional exhaustion.

i love all of my classes. i really enjoy my english class. we get to do writing for elementary education. i actually wrote a children's book that is a spin-off of "if you give a mouse a cookie." mine is called "if you give an orangutan an orange." i truly wish that i could draw pictures to go along with it... but apparently that is not a part of the class. speaking of elementary education, i finished up the stressful process of my application for the program. i passed all of my technology tests. i didn't think i was that technologically SLOW, but apparently i am. i couldn't figure out things quick enough... and it was horribly embarrassing talking about how fascinating ants are into the computer screen. i can only imagine what everyone sitting around me thought. it was probably mostly pity, if they remember taking that dreaded powerpoint test. but anyways, it is done. and my face is recovering from the stress that week was. soon i will find out if i am accepted into the program, and when i do... i'll let you know. =)

ballet is going really well too. i was really worried that taking most of december off would put back my date for when i could get my pointe shoes... but i am actually getting them this saturday! i am so excited! i can't believe that it's finally here... it kinda seems like i'm not that good, but my teacher is letting me anyways. haha.

my social life has been going pretty well. besides the fact that i am usually sleeping or eating or at school. i've been on a few dates with adam. we actually built a way cool snowman, named francisco montoya. it's actually quite ugly. haha. but it was fun. =) bethany, adam, and i went to ihop the other weekend. that was a way good time, especially because everyone was fascinated by adam literally inhaling pancakes. 17 to be exact. haha. our waiter was such a scrump. he even pointed at my cup and bossed me to give it to him so he could refill it... weirdy... anyways, after we went to ihop we made a stop at petsmart. my intentions were pure- to look at the dwarf hamsters. (i think they're wild and cool... so i like looking at them). BUT THEN i wanted a beta fish. AND THEN i saw the coolest thing i have ever seen. i saw crabs. they were cool crabs, with red little pinchers. and they were small, and they live in a cool little aquarium. they are some of my coolest friends, and we have good times. i'm most excited to see them today. actually they smell really bad. every night i feed them three little shrimp pellets and last night i opened the aquarium and it was RANK.

i have a new family home evening group. i am still the mom. i miss our old group, but everyone seems really nice. last night was a way good time. we played "egyptian clue" and we had to act out a person, the weapon, and the location. bethany and i did a mean impression of dementors. too bad we aren't really dementors. that would be wicked awesome.

soon i will be in california for DISNEYLAND! i am so excited!
i love you all... talk to you soon.

con amor, jessica
