so i know that i just put up an old picture, but i couldn't even resist on this one.

reason behind the old pictures? i steal them from my mom. in fact, this is on her blog right now!
just look at michael's blissful little face. he could never be more happy with his life.

a good laugh

it's clear to me that i've always found casey jr. circus train to be ridiculous.
i didn't know 3 year olds could make such bratty faces.

to the rude people that i cannot actually confront...

as dr. wilcox would say, this is yelling from my car rather than saying it to their faces...

why can we not live in a nice world, where people are respectful of each other and their things? sometimes, i wish i had the guts to tell the people who live next door to me how i feel. that perhaps, unlike their poor mothers, i will not pick up their trash bags and put it in the trash can. perhaps i, like most humans, do enjoy sleeping without people stomping on my roof like it is their own personal romping patio. perhaps i do not enjoy their loud mouths at all hours of the night. perhaps i'd like some respect when it comes to laundry space and times. and for a little bit of icing on the cake, PERHAPS i do not want to come home from work to find my plants savagely destroyed by somebody's bike. perhaps i do not like looking at the pile of dirt that they left behind.

so while i sit here and rant and rave on my blog while they continue to be completely awful, perhaps my heart will stop beating so hard from the little fury i've worked myself into.

harvest!

so you might recall that i planted a lovely little garden at the beginning of the summer.

well...
it has been through significant amounts of struggles.
what, with all of the crickets and other bugs,
swamp cooler up in its face,
and 99% lack of sunshine.
shockingly, my little tomato plant finally gave me a lovely tomato for the first time this summer.
and likely the last time.
(i was quite surprised it worked at all since i stopped watering the plant all together when the bugs devoured it.)
want to see my cute tomato?


i am so glad that my excellent gardening skills are giving us LOTS to eat for the next few months.
(sarcasm.)
but seriously, isn't that just great!? a real-life tomato that is about the size of an eraser on a pencil! brilliant!

a park city weekend

i got to spend a whole saturday with my family up in park city.
my baby brother was going up to BYU-I, we got to all party for a bit!
they even came with us to church on sunday!
such a fun weekend.

we went on these super cool slides while we there.
there are 2 kinds- a roller coaster one (you're on a track)
and one that seems more sketch where you just roll down a cement track.
they were both so fun! you should definitely go!

love my family. can't wait to see them again! :)
