Can I just say that I LOVE my little first graders. I sure hope that I can find a job teaching first grade because it would be awesome.
Today we talked all about the nickel. I told them about what who was on the nickel- Thomas Jefferson. I told the class that he was the third president of the United States.
Naturally, a little girl made this comment. "So he is like way, way dead."
Yes. I am certain that there will be a question on the test in a few weeks that looks something like this...
How dead is Thomas Jefferson?
a) way, way dead
b) way dead
c) kinda dead
d) not dead
First graders, you slay me.

I love the younger grades so much!! Especially those types of comments! You will have to let me know about where you get a job and in what grade!
